The Velveteen Rabbit: A Children’s Musical

The Velveteen Rabbit is the beloved story of a stuffed rabbit and his long journey to become real through his owner’s love. A little boy receives a Velveteen Rabbit for Christmas and places it in his nursery where the Skin Horse makes the Rabbit long to become real by telling it that “Once you are real you can’t become unreal again. It lasts for always.” The boy after initially neglecting the stuffed animal in favor of fancier toys, eventually makes the Velveteen Rabbit his constant companion, sharing every step of his life with the stuffed animal who still longs to become real. The rabbit becomes old but despite that, the love between the boy and the rabbit is unconditional love.
