Page to Stage… And Screen!
AWB’s Page to Stage and Screen was a hands-on experience where participants came together to build a production from scratch, starting with the written ideas and text on page and ending with a live performance on both stage and screen. The goal of the program was to work as an ensemble to create a multimedia performance.
This year, participants were tasked to create, direct, and produce an original courtroom drama that blends two art forms: theatre and film.
The program focused on collaboration, with everyone working as a team to shape the story, write the script, cast the roles, and bring the whole thing to life. Participants took on a variety of roles—writers, performers, casting directors, and producers—getting a real taste of what it takes to put together a multimedia performance from start to finish.

We were lucky to partner with Big Picture Alliance, who led a film workshop and helped shoot scenes for the final production. Also, a big shout-out to attorney, Caitlin Prior, for consulting us for accuracy!
The experience wrapped up with a fully staged performance that combined live theatre and film, presented to a packed audience made up of folks from Inglis, AWB, and the local community. You could hear the audience laugh, gasp and participate along as the show went on! It was an exciting and rewarding finale to an incredible creative journey.
