The Fisherman and The Fluke April 2025

On Sunday, April 6th, AWB Jr. actors performed The Fisherman and The Fluke in the West Wike Theatre at The Agnes Irwin School. The Fisherman and The Fluke is based on a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm called, The Fisherman and His Wife. Maria Ceferatti, the Artistic Director of AWB Jr., and the junior actors collaborated to adapt this tale into a grand musical about the danger of greed and the importance of kindness.

The actors welcomed a packed house for their amazing production of The Fisherman and The Fluke. Using musical instruments, witty banter, original songs, and movement, the actors delivered a performance to remember! The actors’ tireless effort showed as they moved about the stage, drawing in viewers into the world of “Grimmville”. A huge thank you to our volunteers, staff, and those over at Agnes Irwin! Without all of you serving as the backbone to Acting Without Boundaries, all of this would not be possible!

AWB relies on volunteers.

The first Sunday of every month volunteers assist our actors at workshops as they learn their lines and rehearse their parts. Our most dedicated volunteers support our actors throughout the year and are a part of the yearly performance. There are opportunities for people who want a creative outlet through set design, props and costume development. Great for early teens, adults and seniors!
