AWB’s New Managing Director
AWB would like to welcome Kim Lengel as the newest addition to our staff!
Kim learned about AWB as a parent of Devon Lengel, who was an actor in our Juniors program. Devon loved being on stage, acting and singing in our productions. For over a decade, Kim and her family have been involved in AWB as parents, audience members, and supporters. She has directly seen and experienced what Acting Without Boundaries means for so many and is excited to utilize her expertise in nonprofit management to grow and further our impact to our surrounding community.
Kim worked for 30+ years at the Philadelphia Zoo. Most of her zoo career was spent in management and nonprofit functions. After retiring from the zoo, she was a professor teaching Animal Biotechnology and Conservation at Delaware Valley University. She was also a consultant with Canopy Strategic Partners, a firm that specializes in mission-driven organizations.
Kim has many goals for Acting Without Boundaries’ growth. She wants to continue to mindfully amplify our actors’ voices and improve access and inclusion for all people with disabilities. Kim loves being part of the AWB “magic” and looks forward to growing and learning with AWB.
