The program began with theater games and improvisational work. The actors created a song entitled “I’m So Amazing”, to help gain confidence in presenting themselves. Then they looked at a series of comic scenes. Jen had the actors work on the play “Sure Thing”. The play is a series of short scenes that were portrayed by several different performers. The actors dove into the script and worked with their scene partner. Neill worked on having the actors learn about the timing and music in comedy, and physical gestures to punctuate the moments. The goal of the program was to have the actors learn new skills and interact with their scene partner. The actors built self confidence, and they embraced the joy of laughter and entertaining an audience. The program ended with a showcase for friends and family.
